Tachograph Data Download: Manual and Remote Systems
Downloading data from the digital tachograph is one of the main obligations for freight and passenger transport companies. According to EU Reg. 165/2014, driver card data must be downloaded at least every 28 days, while the mass memory of the tachograph at least every 90 days. The data must be kept for at least one year and made available to control authorities in case of inspection.

Some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the downloading of tachograph data.
Reg. EU 165/2014 states that the driver card data must be downloaded at least every 28 days, while the tachograph mass memory must be downloaded at least every 90 days. The download must also be performed immediately before the driver leaves the company or before the card expires.
The penalty ranges from €51.00 to €99.00 for each shift of the single driver not downloaded. It is reduced to €35.70 if paid within 5 days of the report.
DDD files must be kept for at least one year from the
