Training courses
// Legal obligations, duration and validity
The burden of training on the tachograph – governed by Reg. EU 165/2014 and by the Executive Decree 215 of 12/12/2016 – is an obligation that transport companies (of goods and people) must fulfill to ensure the necessary knowledge for traveling personnel. The training courses have a minimum duration of 8 hours and must be provided by accredited and authorized instructors from the Ministry of Transport.
The company must ensure the participation of drivers in these meetings every 5 years – the duration of the validity of the certificate – to be renewed at expiration with the attendance of a new training course. Each year, the company must also provide drivers with an updated document complete with information and behavioral norms. The combined fulfillment of these 2 procedures, along with the drafting of communications to prove the monitoring of activities, guarantees the company exemption from joint liability in case of penalties directed at the driver.

// SIAK SYSTEMS instructors cover the subject of driving and rest times by delving into the following aspects:

How to download the data from the tachograph
How to archive the downloaded data
